open_source is a project by Vivian Selbo, with Java programming by Clem Paulsen, commissioned by Gallery9/Walker Art Center through a grant from the Jerome Foundation.

The Fog chat was originally created by Hannes Wallnöfer who generously offered the source code.

Problem Definition:

Visual experience, with multithreaded chat.

Approach:

Was very much a repurposing of a very well designed Java chat engine.
